Vernacare Ltd are the UK’s largest manufacturer and supplier to the NHS of single use disposable paper moulded products for medical use. We have contracted the services of No5 Software over a number of years on a varied number of projects as part of our on-going factory modernisation plan. Projects have included programming of new bespoke manufacturing machines incorporating robotics, modernisation and upgrading of existing equipment including design and build of HMI interface screens as well as what we consider to be the jewel in the crown – the joint development of our very own bespoke SCADA system that over time has allowed us to keep adding to as processes and equipment are installed, upgraded and developed. This system allows our key process parameters and equipment to be monitored real time and has enabled our manufacturing teams to become more agile in responding to non-planned events. To date, it has returned considerable cost savings and enabled us to move away from traditional paper based systems.
